Cute Girl's Day Temari Sushi
- 700 grams Plain cooked rice
- 1 tbsp Vinegar
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 pack Sashimi cuts
- 1 slice Lemon
- 1 slice Ham
- 5 Radish sprouts
- 1 piece Cheese
- 1 slice Shiso leaf
- Kids Mix together all of the ingredients to make the seasoning for the sushi rice.
- Empty some warmed cooked rice into tupperware or similar and mix in the seasoning.
- Kids Mix the seasoning into the rice with a cutting motion.
- Adults If the rice doesn't cool quickly on it's own, fan it with a fan whilst the kids mix in the seasoning.
- Adults Slice the sashimi into thin, bite sized slices.
- If they are too big then they won't fit onto the rice well and won't look very nice.
- Preparing the toppings.
- Adults Cut the lemon and other topping ingredients into small pieces.
- Kids Cut out some star shapes from a slice of ham.
- Kids Place a sheet of cling film over a small 3 cm bowl.
- Kids Place a piece of sashimi on top of the cling film, then a ball of rice.
- Kids Lift everything out of the bowl and wrap in the cling film.
- Tightly shape everything into a ball to complete.
- Kids Remove the wrap and add the finishing touches with a few toppings.
- If you want to use shiso leaves, add the ingredients in the order of sashimi-shiso leaf-rice.
