Crisscross Cookies

  1. Cream the first 3 ingredients in mixer bowl.
  2. Beat in eggs. Add cream and flavorings.
  3. Mix in sifted dry ingredients.
  4. Chill. Roll 1/4 of the dough at a time, 1/8-inch thick on surface sprinkled with confectioners sugar.
  5. Cut as desired.
  6. Place 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
  7. Spread with Date Filling, leaving 1/4-inch edges.
  8. Cut narrow strips from dough scraps. Crisscross over Filling, pressing ends to bottom of cookies.
  9. Bake at 375u0b0 until light brown.
  10. Makes 50 servings.
