Brownie Drops

  1. Combine chocolate and butter in top of double boiler.
  2. Bring water to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat to low; cook until chocolate melts, stirring occasionally.
  4. Cook and set aside.
  5. Beat eggs at high speed of an electric mixer until foamy.
  6. Gradually add sugar, one tablespoon at a time, beating until mixture is thick and lemon colored (about 5 minutes).
  7. Add chocolate mixture and next 4 ingredients, mixing well.
  8. Stir in vanilla.
  9. Drop by teaspoonfuls 3 inches apart on greased cookie sheets.
  10. Press a pecan half into center of each cookie.
  11. Bake at 350u0b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
  12. Cool on wire rack.
  13. Yields 5 dozen.
