Mocha-Cream Cheese Flan

  1. Heat oven to 350F.
  2. Mix 1/2 cup sugar and water in small saucepan.
  3. Cook on medium heat 8 min.
  4. or until mixture is golden brown and of syrup-like consistency, carefully swirling pan evey few minutes.
  5. (Do not stir.)
  6. Pour into 9-inch round baking pan.
  7. Microwave chocolate in microwaveable bowl on HIGH 1-1/2 min.
  8. or until chocolate is almost melted, stirring after each minute; cool.
  9. Pour milk into blender.
  10. Add cream cheese; blend until smooth.
  11. Add melted chocolate, remaining sugar, eggs and coffee granules; blend well.
  12. Pour over syrup in pan; place in larger baking pan.
  13. Add enough water to larger pan to come halfway up side of smaller pan.
  14. Bake 1 hour or until knife inserted 1 inch from edge comes out clean.
  15. Cool on wire rack.
  16. Refrigerate 4 hours before unmolding to serve.
