Georgia Peach Cream Pie

  1. Mix sugar, flour, cornstarch and salt.
  2. Add milk slowly and cook over boiling water until mixture begins to thicken.
  3. Add well-beaten egg yolks and butter and cook until mixture thickens.
  4. Add lemon juice and cool.
  5. Arrange 1 cup sliced peaches in pie shell.
  6. Pour in filling and top with remaining peaches.
  7. Chill thoroughly and top with sweetened whipped cream.
