Simple Country Blackberry Cobbler
- 3 cups blackberries
- 1 12 cups cream
- 2 cups sugar, divided
- 14 cup merlot
- 1 tablespoon almond extract
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 12 teaspoons nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- In a saucepan add blackberries, cream,wine one cup of the sugar, the extract and spices and bring to a boil.
- reduce heat and simmer until reduced, stirring often.
- Pour berries unto bottom of a greased casserole dish.
- Mix together remaining cup of sugar with flour and milk and spread over top of berry mixture.
- Bake for 1 hour on 400 degrees or until bubbly and top is golden brown.
