Mocha-Walnut Christmas Cookies

  1. Melt 1/2 cup morsels over hot boiling water.
  2. Stir until smooth and cool to room temperature.
  3. In
  4. a cup, dissolve instant coffee in boiling water.
  5. In small bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt.
  6. In a large bowl, combine butter, sugar, brown sugar and coffee.
  7. Heat until creamy.
  8. Add egg and melted chocolate.
  9. Gradually add flour mixture.
  10. Stir in remaining 1 1/2 cups chocolate morsels and nuts.
  11. Drop by tablespoon onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350u0b0 for 10 to 12 minutes. Yields 24 (3-inch) cookies.
