Fruity Granola Bars

  1. In a large saucepan or electric frying pan, combine sugar, butter, honey, water, and salt.
  2. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in oats, almonds, wheat germ, and sesame seeds.
  4. Cook, stirring frequently, for 15 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and add fruits.
  6. Pour into a jelly roll pan lined with wax paper or parchment.
  7. Score deeply into bars of desired size.
  8. Allow to cool for 30 minutes.
  9. Break along score lines.
  10. Store in an airtight container.
