Swedish Meat Balls

  1. Fry onions in butter until golden brown.
  2. Combine meat with fried onions, bread crumbs, eggs, salt, pepper, sugar and nutmeg. Roll into one-inch balls and fry in butter or oil until brown. Shake ball soften to keep round.
  3. Remove balls and add flour and blend.
  4. Add bouillon and milk or cream and stir until sauce is smooth and thickened.
  5. Add meat balls, cover and simmer 15 to 20 minutes.
  6. Yields 6 to 8 servings.
