Stain Glass Wreath Ornament

  1. Preheat oven to 325F.
  2. Cover baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  3. Cut a 1-1/2-inch piece of a plastic drinking straw; set aside to make hole in ornament.
  4. Using ring-shaped hard candies sold in a bag; unwrap 4 red and 4 green ring-shaped hard candies.
  5. Arrange ring-shaped hard candies on paper in circular shape, leaving at least a 1-1/2-inch opening in the centre.
  6. Bake 3 to 6 min.
  7. or until candies are melted.
  8. Remove from oven.
  9. Make a hole, about 1/2 inch from the top, by pressing the drinking straw piece into ornament, leaving in place until candy is cooled.
  10. Cool completely before removing ornament from paper.
  11. Gently remove straw.
  12. Thread a 6- to 8-inch piece of yarn, ribbon or shoestring licorice into the hole to hang the ornament.
