Oatmeal Krispies
- 1 c. butter flavored Crisco
- 1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 c. quick cooking oats (uncooked)
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
- 1/2 c. flaked coconut
- 1/2 c. chopped pecans
- Cream shortening; gradually add sugar, beating until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla, beating well.
- Combine flour, soda and salt; add to creamed mixture, beating well.
- Stir in remaining ingredients.
- Drop dough by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets; bake at 350u0b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
- Cool slightly on cookie sheets; remove to wire racks.
- Yield: about 8 dozen.
