crusted rice
- 1 cup long grain white rice
- 1/2 cup ghee
- 16 oz crushed tomatoes
- 1 large onion chopped
- 3 carrots
- 1 tbsp parsley flakes
- 1 tsp dried sweet basil
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp water
- 1 1/2 cup water
- Heat ghee
- Add rice
- Peel wash carrots chop about 1 inch long
- Add carrots
- Add onions
- Add water except tablespoon
- Mix tomatoes and sugar and spices together
- When liquid is almost gone add tomatoes
- Mix tablespoons of water and cornstarch together when water is almost gone add cornstarch solution let cook getting a brown crust on bottom drain off excess ghee
- Cook longer getting crust on rice enjoy
