Tarragon Vinegar (makes a great gift)
- 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- 4 cup white wine vinegar
- 2 clove garlic, crushed
- 8 sprigs of fresh tarragon, washed, patted dry, and lightly crushed
- Place tarragon, garlic, and red pepper flakes in a 1 quart glass container.
- In a medium (non-aluminum) saucepan, bring vinegar to a boil over high heat.
- Pour vinegar over mixture.
- Cover and let stand at room temperature for 1 week.
- Strain mixture into gift bottles.
- Store in refrigerator for up to 1 month.
- *This recipe makes about 4 cups vinegar.
