Peppermint Ice Cream Recipe
- 2-qt ice cream maker
- 1 box shelf lowfat milk
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 tbsp. peppermint extract
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 c. crushed peppermint candy
- 1 teaspoon red food coloring
- Pour shelf lowfat milk into cream can; add in sugar, extract, and food coloring.
- Stir thoroughly with wooden spoon.
- Process according to ice cream maker's directions.
- After processing, but before hardening, blend in peppermint candy.
- Pour into container and place in freezer.
