Potatoes And Cabbage In Tomato Sauce(Patate E Verze Al Salsa Di Pomodori)
- 1 medium head cabbage
- 4 large potatoes
- 1/4 c. olive oil
- 1/2 tsp. red crushed pepper
- 1 (16 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 chicken bouillon cube
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 1 c. water
- Clean
- and
- slice
- up cabbage.
- Peel and cube potatoes. Place cabbage and potatoes in large saucepan and add the rest of the ingredients.
- Bring to a boil; then cook on medium heat until potatoes
- are
- tender,
- about 45 minutes.
- Stir mixture occasionally
- to make sure it does not stick.
- Check to see if there is enough
- juice.
- If potatoes and cabbage look too dry, add a little more water.
- Makes 6 to 8 servings.
- This makes a great first course dish.
