Hazelnut Pastry Dough

  1. In a large bowl, with a blending fork, blend together flour and hazelnuts.
  2. Add butter and blend until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Add ice water, by spoonfuls, while tossing mixture with a fork.
  4. Add only enough water to make dough stick together.
  5. Press dough into a ball.
  6. Flatten into a disk and wrap with plastic wrap.
  7. Refrigerate until firm enough to roll out for your pie, about 20 minutes.
  8. Fill and bake according to recipe directions.
