Non-fried! Creamy Cheese Croquettes

  1. Peel the potatoes and cut into small pieces.
  2. Place in heatproof dish and drizzle with 2 tablespoon water (not listed).
  3. Cover with plastic wrap and microwave for 10 minutes in 600 W.
  4. Dry-roast the panko in a frying pan over medium heat while mixing constantly with a spatula.
  5. When the panko are golden brown, take them out immediately into a bowl and let cool.
  6. Mash the potatoes from Step 1 with a masher or spatula while it's hot.
  7. Combine salt, pepper, and fresh cream with potatoes from Step 3.
  8. See hints and tips if you're only using milk.
  9. Divide the potatoes from Step 4 into 4 portions.
  10. Form into patties and cover the cheese so it won't leak out when you're frying them.
  11. Here, I tried making 6 patties.
  12. Combine the ingredients in a bowl to make coating mixture.
  13. Dredge the patties made in Step with the prepared batter then coat thoroughly with panko
  14. Bake 15 to 20 minutes in 200C oven, and it's done.
  15. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes as well when you're using a toaster oven.
