Bread & Butter Pickles #1 Recipe
- 4 quarts. zucchini, chunks or possibly sm. slices
- 6 white onions, sliced
- 2 green peppers, minced
- 3 red peppers, minced
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1/2 c. pickling salt
- Cracked ice
- Put everything but ice and syrup in crock.
- Put cracked ice over top.
- Let stand 3 hrs.
- Drain, but don't wash. Bring syrup ingredients to boil; add in pickle ingredients; cook about 20 min.
- Pack into sterilized jars and seal.
- Process in boiling water bath for 10 min.
