Simple Baked Brie in Puff Pastry

  1. Slice only top rind off Brie.
  2. Roll thawed puff pastry out to get rid of seams and to increase the size by 1 to 2 inches.
  3. Brush both sides of pastry with the beaten egg, then place it on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  4. Place brie in center of pastry.
  5. Melt butter in saucepan and saute walnuts for 5 minutes.
  6. Spread butter and walnut mixture on top of brie.
  7. Sprinkle brown sugarand pinch of cinnamon on top of butter-walnut mixture.
  8. Bring puff pastry together on top of the brie and twist to form a "bundle" on top.
  9. Tie with the kitchen twine.
  10. (Tie the twine in a bow.
  11. ).
  12. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown.
  13. Serve with top quality crackers.
