Beef Goulash Recipe
- 2 pound sirloin tip, cut in 1 1/2 inch cubes
- 6 ounce. wide noodles
- 1-2 tbsp. poppy seeds
- 1 tbsp. flour
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 1 tbsp. veg. oil
- 1 1/2 teaspoon fine herbs
- 1 clove garlic, chopped
- 1 pound can tomatoes (2 c.)
- 1 (8 ounce.) can tomato sauce, seasoned (1 c.)
- 1 tbsp. paprika
- 1 1/2 teaspoon salt (optional)
- 1 c. minced onion
- Brown meat in oil in Dutch oven or possibly large pan.
- Add in onion and cook till tender, but not brown.
- Stir in flour, then remaining ingredients except noodles, poppy seeds and butter.
- Simmer covered 1 1/2 to 2 hrs or possibly till meat is tender.
- Serve with poppy seed noodles.
- Cook 6 oz noodles according to package directions; drain.
- Add in poppy seeds and butter.
- Serves 4-6.
