Pork With Chinese Flavor
- 8 oz. medium egg noodles (4 c.)
- 6 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1 lb. pork, cut into 8 strips
- 1 c. thinly sliced celery strips
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 1 1/2 c. chicken broth
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 tsp. ginger
- 1 Tbsp. soy sauce (or as desired)
- Cook noodles, drain and rinse.
- Heat 1 tablespoon oil in large skillet.
- Tilt to coat evenly.
- Add egg and tilt again.
- When egg is set, remove.
- Cut into strips.
- Set aside.
- In same skillet, cook pork in 2 more tablespoons oil until browned.
- Add celery and onion; cook 2 minutes.
- Add chicken broth.
- Combine cornstarch, salt, pepper, ginger and soy sauce.
- Stir into pork mixture.
- Cook and stir until thickened and boil 1 minute.
- Remove.
