Pasta Bake with Meat Sauce and Cheese
- 1 lb. fettuccine or tagliatelle, uncooked
- 1 lb. extra-lean ground beef King Sooper's 1 lb For $3.99 thru 02/09
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 jar (650 mL) Classico di Napoli Tomato & Basil Pasta Sauce
- 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper
- 2 cups part-skim ricotta cheese
- 1 cup Cracker Barrel Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- 1/2 cup Kraft 100% Parmesan Aged Grated Cheese
- Heat oven 350 F.
- Cook pasta as directed on package, omitting salt.
- Brown meat with onions and garlic in large skillet sprayed with cooking spray on medium-high heat.
- Stir in pasta sauce and seasoning.
- Simmer 5 min., stirring occasionally.
- Add basil and crushed red pepper.
- Spread a thin layer of meat sauce on bottom of 13x9-inch baking dish sprayed with cooking spray.
- Dollop with ricotta cheese.
- Add half of remaining meat sauce to drained pasta; mix well; add to baking dish.
- Pour remaining meat sauce over pasta.
- Top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
- Bake 25 to 30 min.
- or until heated through.
- Let stand 10 min.
- before serving.
