Special Green Beans

  1. Wash beans, trim ends and remove strings.
  2. Combine beans and water in Dutch oven.
  3. Bring to boil, cover, reduce heat and simmer 6 to 8 minutes or until crisp to tender.
  4. Drain.
  5. Plunge beans in ice water to stop cooking process.
  6. Drain and set aside.
  7. Saute mushrooms and next 7 ingredients in oil in Dutch oven.
  8. Stir in beans and cook until thoroughly heated.
  9. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  10. Yields 8 to 10 servings.
