Beer - Braised Beef Short Ribs
- 5 lb. of beef short ribs
- 1 14OZ. can beef broth
- 1 12OZ. bottle of light
- dark beer
- 1 md. onion, peeled and cut into thin wedges.
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 2 Tablespoons balasamic vinegar
- 1 tsp. dried crushed thyme
- 1 tsp. hot pepper sauce
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- Put short ribs into a 5-6 quart slow cooker.
- Add broth,beer,onion, molasses,vinegar,thyme,hot pepper sauce and salt.
- Cover and cook on low-heat for 11-12 hours.
- Or on high setting for six hours.
- Using a pair of tongs remove the short ribs and cover with foil to keep warm.
- Skim the fat from the broth.
