Low Country Shrimp Boil
- 1 gallon Water
- 4 Tablespoons Salt
- 3 cloves Garlic
- 4 Tablespoons Zatarain's Cajun Seasoning
- 2 whole Lemons
- 3 whole Small Potatoes
- 1/2 pounds Kielbasa (Smoked Sausage), Sliced Into 1/4" Pieces
- 1 ear Corn
- 1 whole Crab (optional)
- 1/2 pounds Medium-Sized Raw Shrimp In Shell
- 1.
- Boil about a gallon of water in a large kettle on the stove or outdoor cooker.
- 2.
- Season water with salt, garlic and Zatarains along with the juice of lemons.
- 3.
- Add potatoes and cook for 10 minutes.
- 4.
- Add sausage and corn.
- Bring back to a boil.
- 5.
- When potatoes are almost tender, add the crab.
- 6.
- Bring to a boil, then add shrimp.
- 7.
- Cook only for a few minutes until shrimp are just done.
- They will be pink in color.
- 8.
- Drain and pour into a basket or onto platters.
- 9.
- Have cocktail sauce and Dijon mustard at hand.
