Alehouse Steak Sub
- 1/2 lb New York strip steak
- 1 hoagie bun
- 1 cheese (any)
- 2 tbsp garlic butter (recipe below)
- 1 tsp lawry's seasoned salt
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Garlic butter recipe.
- Mix steak rub and season steak well.
- Refrigerate 4 to 24 hours.
- Set up your grill for Direct Heat
- Cut hoagie in half and spread with garlic butter.
- Grilled steak to your desired temperature.
- Toast bun directly over heat.
- Move to Indirect Heat and top with cheese and toast until it melts.
- Serve with favorite vegetables and condiments.
