Italian Meatloaf

  1. Preheat oven gas mark 4
  2. Cut tin foil and place on a baking tray with a dash of oil
  3. Put mince and chorizo or bacon in a bowl with chopped onion and crushed garlic.
  4. Add passatta, 150g bread crumbs and two large eggs
  5. Knead meat mixture and spread out evenly on foil
  6. To make cheese sauce; in a pan bring cream to the boil
  7. Add cheese, egg yolk and bread slices.
  8. Mix until a pastry texture
  9. Spread cheese sauce onto meat evenly
  10. gently pull foil from under meat so that it rolls like a Swiss roll, discard foil
  11. cook in oven 45 mins
