Chewy Chocolate Chunk Bars

  1. Heat oven to 350F.
  2. Combine brown sugar and butter in bowl.
  3. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until creamy.
  4. Add eggs, vanilla and almond extract; continue beating until well mixed.
  5. Add oats, flour and baking soda; beat at low speed until well mixed.
  6. Stir in 8 ounces chopped chocolate and pecans.
  7. Spread batter into ungreased 15x10x1-inch baking pan.
  8. Bake 24-27 minutes or until set.
  9. Cool completely.
  10. Microwave 1 ounce semi-sweet chocolate and 1/2 teaspoon shortening in bowl on Medium (50% power), stirring occasionally, 1-1 1/2 minutes or until melted.
  11. Drizzle over cooled bars.
  12. Repeat with white chocolate and remaining shortening.
  13. Cool completely until chocolate is set.
  14. Cut into bars.
