Marinara Basil with Sweet Sausages
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pound Italian sweet sausages, sliced
- 1/4 onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, chopped
- 1 (28-ounce) can crushed tomatoes
- 1 28 -ounce can pureed tomatoes
- Bunch parsley, chopped
- 1/2 cup fresh basil, leaves torn by hand
- Salt and pepper
- 1 pound bucatoni, cooked al dente
- Heat oil in a large hot saucepan and brown sausages.
- Add onions and garlic and saute until fragrant.
- Add remaining ingredients and simmer 30 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve over bucatoni.
