Cowboy Bean Soup
- 1 pound Lean Ground Beef
- 16 ounces, weight Can Of Baked Beans
- 1/4 cups Lightly Packed Brown Sugar
- 1/2 cups Yellow Mustard
- 1/2 cups Ketchup
- 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1 Tablespoon Liquid Smoke
- 1 can (15 Oz. Can) Black Eyed Peas
- 1 can (15 Oz. Can) Garbonzo Beans
- 1 can (15 Oz. Can) Navy Beans
- 1 can (15 Oz. Can) Kidney Beans
- Brown and drain grease from ground beef and put in your slow cooker.
- Add beans, liquid and all, to the slow cooker.
- Add the rest of the ingredients and stir together well.
- Put the lid on your slow cooker, turn the heat on low and walk away.
- A quick stir now and again wont kill the dish, but it might leave you sneaking a taste.
- NOTE:
- This is also great with ground turkey or chicken.
- While the baked beans ARE ESSENTIAL, you may use whatever kinds of beans you like for the other four cans.
- Also, the quantities for the additional ingredients are estimates; use these to taste.
- I love a lot of liquid smoke in mine, but my brother puts next to none in.
- Its all about what tastes good to you!
