Hyuga-meshi Rice Dish

  1. Cut the sashimi into easy to eat sizes.
  2. Marinate in a mixture of soy sauce, sake, and mirin for 30 minutes (mix occasionally to marinate evenly).
  3. After 30 minutes, add a beaten egg, mix, and let rest.
  4. Add finely sliced green onion (leave some to sprinkle on top) and the white sesame seeds, and mix.
  5. Pour everything from step 3 including the sauce over piping hot rice, sprinkle chopped green onions, and serve.
