Tea Party Lemon Bread Recipe
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 2 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 1/4 c. sugar
- Grated rind of 1 lemon
- 2 lg. Large eggs
- 1/2 c. lowfat milk
- Juice of 1 lg. lemon
- Mix dry ingredients thoroughly.
- Cream butter, 3/4 c. sugar, and lemon rind.
- Then beat in Large eggs thoroughly, one at a time.
- Stir in flour mix alternately with lowfat milk, beginning and ending with flour.
- Stir till smooth after each addition.
- Turn into a buttered 9x5x3 inch loaf pan and bake at 350 degrees about 45 min or possibly till a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Stir 1/2 c. sugar and lemon juice together and spread over top of warm bread.
- Remove from pan after cooling about 10 min.
