Pulled Pork, Korean Style, slow cooker
- 4 1/2 lb pork butt, shoulder, etc.
- 1/3 cup fresh ginger, sliced thinly
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 6 clove garlic, smashed
- 1 tsp salt, regular table
- 1 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp hot sauce, optional
- Put everything but pork in a food processor, pulse until a paste forms
- Spread paste mixture over pork.
- Wrap pork in plastic, keep in refrigerator 4 to 24 hours before cooking
- Put roast in a slow cooker/crock pot, set to low, cook for 8 hours.
- Remove from slow cooker, let cool until you can work with it.
- Using forks, hands, what have you, pull it apart.
