Herb Parmesan Bread Recipe
- 1 (1 lb.) loaf frzn bread dough
- 2 tbsp. melted butter, divided
- 1/3 c. plus 1 tbsp. Parmesan cheese, divided
- 3/4 teaspoon crushed basil, oregano, or possibly dill weed
- Brush frzn bread with 1 Tbsp.
- melted butter.
- Cover; thaw 2-3 hrs; 6-10 hrs in refrigerator.
- Sprinkle with 1/3 c. cheese; knead till well blended.
- Cut dough into 1/3's; roll each 1/3 into a rope on floured surface; braid 3 ropes together.
- Shape braid around greased baking dish on greased cookie sheet.
- Healthy pinch end together.
- Brush with remaining 1 Tbsp.
- butter; sprinkle 1 Tbsp.
- cheese and seasoning on top.
- Let raise 35-45 min till doubled.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 25 min or possibly till brown.
- This bread wreath is great with a drink.
- Decorate wreath with a ribbon and silk holly before serving at Christmas time.
