Barbecued Beef On Buns

  1. Place beef, onion and celery in Dutch oven.
  2. Add water to almost cover meat.
  3. Bring to a boil; reduce heat.
  4. Cover and simmer for 2 1/2 to 3 hours or until meat is tender.
  5. Remove meat; strain and reserve cooking liquid.
  6. Trim and shred meat; return to Dutch oven.
  7. Add 2 cups of the strained cooking liquid (save remaining cooking liquid) and chill.
  8. Skim and discard fat.
  9. Add all seasonings; cover and simmer 1 hour.
  10. Add additional reserved liquid if necessary.
