The Best Burger I Ever Ate
- 1 pound 93% Lean Hamburger
- 2 cloves Garlic
- 6 whole Mushrooms
- 2 whole Scallions
- 1/4 whole Yellow Bell Pepper
- 1 whole Avocado
- 12 pieces Bacon
- 1/2 Tablespoons Butter
- 1/2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- 4 slices Havarti Cheese
- 4 whole Hamburger Buns
- 1 bunch Arrugala Or Baby Spinich
- Salt And Pepper
- Chop the garlic, mushrooms, scallions and bell pepper into 1/4 inch pieces.
- Set aside.
- Slice the avocado and set aside.
- In a 400 degree oven cook your bacon on a raised rack for about 20 minutes.
- Put some aluminun foil under the rack to catch all that grease and use it for something else later.
- When the bacon is done, remove it from the oven and set it aside.
- In a skillet add 1/2 tablespoon of butter and 1/2 tablespoon olive oil and heat over medium heat.
- Add the scallions and bell peppers and cook about 5 minutes or until tender.
- Add the mushrooms and cook 2 minutes, then add the garlic and cook another 2 minutes.
- Let the mixture cool about ten minutes then mix into the hamburger meat.
- Salt and pepper to taste; then make 4 equal sized patties.
- Grill the hamburgers out on the grill until they reach the doneness you prefer and then melt the cheese on top.
- Grill your favorite bun or toast them in the oven.
- Using whatever condiments you prefer make your burger and then add sliced avocado, arrugala or spinach and 3 pieces of cooked bacon.
- Enjoy with your favorite iced beverage and a side of beans or fries or whatever you prefer.
