Green Bean Bundles
- 1 lb fresh green beans
- 2 piece bacon (cut in half)
- 4 tbsp butter or margarine (melted))
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 clove garlic (minced)
- 1 tsp worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- pinch ground cayenne pepper
- Wash and trim ends off green beans
- Bring a pan of water to a boil over high heat.
- Add green beans and blanch for 2 minutes.
- Remove beans and tranfer to a ice bath for 2 minutes.
- After the 2 minute ice bath dry beans on paper towels.Preheat oven to 375F
- In a bowl whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, garlic, Worcestershire, chilli powder, black and cayenne pepper
- Divide green beans into 4 bundles wrapping each one with a half piece of bacon tightly.
- Place in a baking dish seam side down.
- Spoon the butter mixture over the bacon..Place in oven and cook 30 minutes.
- I brushed the butter mixture over the bacon 2 times while cooking.Enjoy!!
