McBubba's Stuffed Quahaugs (stuffies) Recipe McBubba

  1. Buy Quahaugs, scrub well then freeze them in their shell.
  2. When frozen, open , chop, put in zip-lock and back in freezer.
  3. Wash shells in dishwasher.
  4. Plan on doing this much at least one day in advance.
  5. In a large skillet, try bacon until almost crisp.
  6. Drain off half of the fat.
  7. Add onions, celery and red pepper.
  8. Cook until soft.
  9. Add the butter.
  10. Melt and then add the lemon juice, hot sauce and black pepper.
  11. Turn off the heat
  12. Mix well and then stir in the stuffing mixes
  13. Combine stuffing and chopped Quahaugs.
  14. Stuff the clean shells.
  15. Bake in a hot (375 deg.)
  16. oven 15-20 min.
  17. Serve and enjoy!
  18. Goes well with a cold lager.
