Broccoli Walnut Ring *
- 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped broccoli, thawed
- 1 clove garlic, minced or more to taste
- 1 chopped onion
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. potato starch
- 1 c. onion soup or bouillon
- 3 eggs, separated
- 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
- Grease 1 1/2-quart
- mold pan with margarine.
- Saute onion and garlic in margarine until golden.
- Dissolve starch in bouillon and add to saute.
- Cook until thick and smooth.
- Cool slightly.
- Beat egg yolks until light.
- Stir yolks, broccoli and walnuts into saute mixture.
- Beat egg whites until stiff in separate bowl. Fold into broccoli mixture.
- Spoon into mold.
- Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until firm at 350u0b0.
- Wait 5 minutes after removed from oven before unmolding.
- Serve.
