Crusty Garlic Bread

  1. In 6-quart mixing bowl, dissolve half the yeast in 1 cup water.
  2. Add 1 cup of the flour and mix well.
  3. Let this ferment overnight in a warm (75u0b0) place.
  4. Add the rest of the yeast and water.
  5. Mix well. Add the sugar, oil, egg white, garlic, garlic powder, salt and as much of the flour as is needed to make a soft but not too sticky dough. Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic (6 to 7 minutes).
