Easy Sushi Cake for Doll's Day
- 450 ml White rice
- 5 tbsp Sushi vinegar
- 1 Kinshi tamago (finely shredded thin omelette)
- 1 White sesame seeds
- 1 Cucumber
- 1 Nori (dried seaweed sheet)
- 2 to 3 leaves Shiso leaves
- 1 Fresh parsley
- 1 Sashimi (for topping)
- Make sushi rice and mix with the sesame seeds.
- Stuff the sushi rice about 2 cm high in a long cake pan.
- Top with sliced thinly sliced shiso leaves and kinshi tamago, leaving no gaps.
- Put another 2 cm layer of sushi rice on top, then press down a bit (like for pressed sushi).
- Remove from the pan and top as you like.
- The sushi cake is done!
- Use any leftover ingredients to make temari sushi!
