Shrimp Fra Diavolo

  1. Boil a large pot of water for cooking the pasta.
  2. While the sauce simmers, cook linguini until al dente according to package directions.
  3. Preheat olive oil in a large saute pan on medium heat.
  4. Add anchovy paste and red pepper flakes.
  5. Cook for 1 minute.
  6. Add onion and garlic.
  7. Cook for 3 minutes, stirring frequently.
  8. Add wine and cook for 1 minute.
  9. Add tomatoes, salt and pepper and bring to a boil.
  10. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
  11. Increase heat to medium.
  12. Submerge shrimp in sauce and cook for 2 minutes.
  13. Turn shrimp over, add 2 tablespoons of basil and cook for 1 minute.
  14. Add cooked and drained linguini to sauce, stirring to incorporate.
  15. Garnish with the remaining 1 tablespoon basil.
  16. Serve!
