Fruit Cake (Dark)

  1. Chip fruit and nuts
  2. the
  3. size you desire.
  4. Sift flour, baking powder, cloves
  5. and
  6. cinnamon
  7. together.
  8. Cream butter, sugar and eggs
  9. together;
  10. add
  11. flour mixture alternately with milk. Thoroughly work fruit and nut mixture into cake batter. Spoon batter into a tube pan.
  12. Bake in a slow oven at 300u0b0 for 1 hour, then at 350u0b0 for remainder of period about 2 hours.
