Gwen's Yummy Chicken Casserole
- 7 ounces seasoned bread crumbs
- 12 cup water
- 12 cup chicken broth
- 12 cup mayonnaise
- 12 cup melted butter
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 12 cups cubed chicken
- 1 (8 ounce) can water chestnuts, drained
- 1 cup milk
- 12 cup chopped celery
- 12 cup chopped onion
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 10 12 ounces cream of mushroom soup
- 12 cup milk
- 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- Mix first 5 ingredients together.
- in a big mixing bowl.
- Add eggs and 1 cup of milk to stuffing mixture.
- Stir in chicken and water chestnuts.
- Saute celery,onion with additional butter, salt,garlic and pepper.
- When tender add to chicken mixture.
- Pour into a 9 X13 greased dish.
- Blend can mushroom soup and 1/2 c milk and spread on top.
- Add shredded cheddar cheese on top the last 20 minutes - so it will not get over cooked
- Bake at 350 for 45-55 minutes.
