Jamaican Oxtail Preparation

  1. Stir all ingredients into oxtails
  2. Let it marinate overnight.
  3. Separate oxtails from ingredients
  4. Add canola oil to frying pan
  5. Cook oxtails on each side for 10 mins
  6. Transfer oxtails, oil, and the rest of the ingredients to slow cooker
  7. Put slow cooker on high
  8. Add just enough water to cover meat or halfway
  9. Cut up potatoes and carrots
  10. Put top on slow cooker-let it cook for 6 hours
  11. Add potatoes and carrots-cook for 1 hour
  12. Add butter beans (optional)
  13. Stir and serve
