Inside-Out Caramel-Dipped Apples
- 5 apples (1-1/2 lb.), washed, well dried
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice Safeway 4 ct For $5.00 thru 02/09
- 1 pkg. (11 oz.) KRAFT Caramels
- 2 Tbsp. water
- Cut apples lengthwise in half.
- Use melon baller to remove inside of each apple, leaving 3/4-inch-thick shell.
- Brush cut sides of apples with lemon juice.
- Microwave caramels and water in large microwaveable bowl on HIGH 2-1/2 to 3 min.
- or until caramels are completely melted, stirring after each minute.
- Cool 5 min.
- Use paper towel to blot moisture from insides of apples; fill with caramel sauce.
- Refrigerate 30 min.
- or until caramel filling is firm.
- Cut into wedges to serve.
