Chocolate Candy Bar Dessert
- 2 c. chocolate wafer cookie crumbs
- 1/2 c. sugar (divided)
- 1/2 c. margarine (melted)
- 1 pkg. (8oz.) cream cheese (softened)
- 1 tub (12oz.) whipped topping (thawed)
- 1 c. chopped chocolate covered candy bars
- 3 c. cold milk
- 2 small pkgs. instant chocolate pudding
- Mix cookie crumbs, 1/4 c. sugar and melted margarine in 9x13" pan.
- Press firmly into bottom of pan.
- Refrigerate 10 min.
- Beat cream cheese & remaining 1/4 c. sugar until smooth.
- Gently stir in half the whipped topping.
- Spread evenly over crust.
- Sprinkle candy bars over cream cheese.
- Pour milk into large bowl.
- Add pudding.
- Beat with a wire whisk for 1 min.
- Pour over candy bar layer.
- Let stand 5 min., until thickened.
- Spread remaining whipped topping over pudding layer.
- Refrigerate 2 hrs. or until set.
- Garnish with additional chopped candy bars if desired.
- Cut into squares.
