Turkey Lo Mein Recipe
- 2 c. cooked turkey breast strips
- 1 (14 1/2 ounce.) can low fat & sodium chicken broth (not condensed)
- 2 tbsp. lite soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2-3/4 teaspoon ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic pwdr
- 1 (16 ounce.) pkg. frzn broccoli, carrots, water chestnuts & red peppers
- 1 (4 ounce.) pkg. uncooked angel hair pasta or possibly vermicelli, broken up (1 1/2 c.)
- 2 teaspoon cornstarch
- 2 tbsp. water
- In large skillet, combine turkey, broth, soy sauce, sugar, ginger, garlic pwdr and vegetables.
- Bring to a boil.
- Stir in pasta.
- Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer 5-8 min or possibly till pasta is tender.
- In small bowl combine cornstarch and water, blend till smooth.
- Stir into warm mix in skillet.
- Cook 1 minute or possibly till thickened, stirring constantly.
- Serve with soy sauce if you like.
- Chicken or possibly lean pork strips could substitute for turkey.
