Beef with Hoi Sin Sauce
- 500g rump steak, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 2 teaspoon oil
- 1 red capsicum, chopped
- 1 zucchini, sliced
- 6 spring onions, cut into 3cm lengths
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tablespoon Hoi Sin sauce
- 1 tablespoon VEGEMITE
- 1-2 tablespoon sweet chilli sauce
- 2 teaspoon cornflour
- 1 teaspoon curry powder
- Cooked rice noodles to serve
- Combine steak and garlic in a bowl and marinate at least 20 minutes.
- Heat oil in a frying pan or wok over a high heat.
- Add the beef and stir-fry 2-3 minutes until just browned.
- Add capsicum, zucchini and spring onions and stir-fry a further 2-3 minutes until vegetables are tender.
- Add combined water, hoi sin sauce, Vegemite*, sweet chilli sauce, cornflour and curry powder.
- Cook for 2 - 3 minutes until sauce is thickened.
- Serve immediately with rice noodles.
