Barbecue Pheasant (or Chicken) Pizza
- 1 whole Recipe Of Your Favorite Pizza Dough
- 1/4 cups Plus Three Tablespoons Homemade Barbecue Sauce, Divided (see My Recipe Box)
- 1 cup Diced Grilled Pheasant Or Chicken
- 4 pieces Bacon, Cooked And Crumbled
- 1/4 cups Red Onion, Diced
- 6 ounces, weight Brick Of Mozzarella Cheese, Freshly Grated
- Olive Oil, For Pan
- Preheat oven to 415 degrees F.
- Spread the pizza dough evenly onto a 10x15 (or larger depending on how thick you want the crust) baking sheet that was lightly oiled.
- Spread the 1/4 cup of barbecue sauce over dough, leaving space around the edge.
- Sprinkle with the cooked pheasant (or chicken), bacon and red onions.
- Top with grated brick cheese and drizzle with the remaining 3 tablespoons of homemade barbecue sauce.
- Bake on the center rack in your preheated oven until cheese is melted and the crust golden.
- This will take approximately 12-15 minutes depending on your oven.
- Note: For the chicken or pheasant... Just sprinkle a chicken {or pheasant} breast with salt, black pepper and a little garlic powder then grill them over medium heat until theyre cooked through.
- For pheasants, because the breasts are smaller, it took me about 3 minutes a side.
- Once cooked you only need a cup of meat diced up small.
